Summer 2026 Family Adventure
3 Days. 4 Cities. 2 Countries. ~1,200 Miles.
Matawan, NJ → Montreal → Ottawa → Toronto → Niagara Falls → Home
We know the original plan was to drive straight to Niagara Falls and back — a great trip, but a long drive just to see one place. We have a counter-proposal: add just one extra day and turn it into an unforgettable road trip through four incredible cities across two countries.
Instead of 12+ hours of round-trip driving for a single destination, we'll spread the journey across 3 days and stop at Montreal (the Paris of North America), Ottawa (Canada's capital), Toronto (the biggest city in Canada), and Niagara Falls — still the grand finale. Same amount of total driving, but way more to see, eat, and experience along the way.
The tours below are just examples to give you a taste of what each city has to offer — we'll decide together what we actually want to do once we're there!
Hit the road and head north to La Belle Province!

Expect a line but it moves fast! After lunch, head to Mount Royal. Hike or drive to the Kondiaronk Belvedere lookout for a stunning panoramic view of downtown Montreal and beyond. The park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted (who also designed Central Park).
